In our opinion, there isn’t enough of that around. (…but it’s not like there could ever be too much good beer). So we’ve built a brewery right in the heart of downtown Wichita Falls! Our vision is big. Wichita Falls Brewing is a family friendly spot to gather, drink good beer, eat good food from local food trucks and drink more good beer. We opened March 2018, and have seen great success already!
We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us and what is in store for the brewery!
Glam is a Hazy Session IPA that delivers a light citrus, guava, & passion fruit aromas. The sweet orange zest & tropical fruit flavors come from a healthy dose of El Dorado, Citra, & Calypso hops throughout the process.
The chocolate, burnt toast, & espresso notes come from the perfect blend of 2- Row, Chocolate, & Crystal 40 malts alongside a Bali blend from our local Odd Duck Coffee. This collaboration has sparked many spin-offs using many locally sourced products including Rockin’ M Distillery bourbon barrels, B Cocoa Artisan Chocolate, & Horseshoe Bend Cellars Cabernet barrels.
Roasted crystal malt and burnt orange color. Alcalde (“all-call-day”) was inspired in part by the term used in modern Spanish for a person in a mayoral role and has more significance in its original language as a term for “the judge”.
Vitamin C is an American Wheat Ale brewed with sweet orange peel and fermented with Voss Kveik, a Norwegian ale yeast that produces citrus esters. This is a sunny day, easy sippin', day drinkin' kinda beer.
Classic West Coast IPA brewed with 2-Row, Wheat, & Crystal 40. Well-balanced & medium-bodied with grapefruit, stone fruit, & grassy notes on the nose as well as ruby red grapefruit & light caramel flavors. This pseudo-flagship won’t leave you inverted.
Big warm West Coast DIPA. The aroma includes tropical fruit, pear, peach, & watermelon rind while the flavor is full of rich malt, a tannin-like bitterness, & candied orange peel. It will definitely round house kick you to flavor town.
Easy drinker, crisp & approachable. Full bodied with hints of orange. This is a perfect anytime beer for a session on cruise control.
Our rotating series of sours has included Mario’s Side Peach, BBA Peach (aka Horseshoe Blend), Hibiscus Lime Leaf, Pineapple Guava, Red Raspberry, & Strawberry Lemonade.
Matt got his commercial brewing start in Austin, TX, taking Infamous Brewing Company from a small startup to statewide distribution in just a few years. He jumped on an opportunity to move back to his hometown and manage his own creation in WFBC. He manages the day-to-day and just recently (and reluctantly) handed the head brewer torch to Jorden, giving him more time to catch up on paperwork and well… drink!
Favorite Styles: India Pale Ale, Flanders Red, Porters & anything with pumpkin spice
After meeting Matt, Russ decided to take a leap of faith from full-time military life to brewery co-founder. While still maintaining a position in the reserves, he handles the extremely boring things like taxes, regulatory compliance, insurance, and payroll. As sporadic as his schedule and brewery appearances are, he always manages to keep the company on track… we think.
Favorite Styles: Trappist, Lambic, and anthing from WFBC
Jorden’s experiences living in various locations across the globe, including Germany and Hawaii, have influenced a brewing style that incorporates a unique blend of traditional techniques with creative ingredient combinations. He came to us with a backround in managing large chain restaurant operations but his passion for home-brewing was immediately evident. Having dedicated an unbelievable amount of time to the all of grimyest jobs at WFBC since the beginning, we’re excited to see him take on the Head Brewer position.
Favorite Style: India Pale Ale
While not running her own online store, Katrina tends bar, and curates our guest tap and wine menu. You can pick up some of her hand-stamped jewlery, keychans, etc. in the taproom and browse the merchandise section that she also manages. She’s probably better off without us, but she won’t let go. She’ll probably own this place someday.
Favorite Styles: Stouts, Sours, & Browns
Aside from his love of Chartreuse, Eric is our most level-headed even-keeled shut-up-and-colorer. He’s one of the few people in our lives that reminds us that the good ole’ days are happening right now, making him the most qualified person to sit down and have a beer with.
Favorite Styles: Barrel Aged Stouts, New England IPAs, Sours
Jason came to us with a mural idea before we opened and we jumped on the opportunity. His influence on our local community runs deep as he has been commissioned for multiple large works around downtown. His original art “is a thought-provoking, visually rich, eclectic mix of 1960s, 1970s and 1980s pop culture, religious images, political and social commentary on the state of the world and even butterflies, oftentimes with a sense of irony, some dark humor and always with religious conviction” (Lana Sweeten-Shults - Times Recorder News). Check out sorrow.gallery to give him your money in exchange for amazing merch showcasing his artwork.
